The young Jordan Love weapon ready to grab Packers roster spot after key departures
The Green Bay Packers are just a few months away from kicking off the 2026 NFL season, in which they will look to bounce back after two straight Wild Card round exits. The Packers have lost some key players this offseason, including both Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks in the wide receiver room.
Recently, young receiver Isaiah Neyor, who was signed to the team prior to last season and played sparingly, spoke on his relationship with those players, as well as the opportunity that now sits in front of him for an expanded role this year.
“Yeah, I love those guys,” he said, per Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated. “I still keep in contact with them. You know, my goal is just to go out there and compete, regardless of who’s here, who’s not here. I’m just going to go out there and perform my best, do what I can, and continue to get better.”
Neyor went undrafted back in 2025 and spent time bouncing back and forth between the Packers’ main team and practice squad last year, being activated for the team’s playoff game against the Chicago Bears, which turned out to be a soul-crushing loss on the road.
Neyor also broke down his approach this offseason as he tries to carve out a bigger role for himself on the team.
“Just trying to stack days, just get right,” he said. “Try to take every day to get 1 percent better. And I feel like today I took a step in the right direction. But just staying level-headed and just keep working.”
If Neyor can help fill the production that the team lost when Wicks and Doubs departed, it would go a long way in helping keep the Packers’ offense afloat this season and beyond.
