Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce prenup prediction ahead of wedding
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce could be looking into protecting their future.
Swift and Kelce will reportedly get married over the summer, and if they choose to go the prenuptial agreement route, a report suggests which location would be best to get their legal affairs in order. According to a report by TMZ, the couple has a couple of choices in where they could decide on getting a prenup. A source told the outlet that a prenup will not be drafted in California, which leads to about six other options: Rhode Island, Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee, and New York.
The rationale behind TMZ’s prediction on the states in which Swift and Kelce are likely to file a potential prenup goes to where they individually own property. Swift is known for her mansion in Rhode Island, which is located in Watch Hill, and she owns a Tribeca penthouse. While Swift was born in Pennsylvania, she has roots in Tennessee, where she began her career and has a home on the iconic Music Row and Forest Hills. Kelce, on the other hand, owns a home in Leawood, KS, and a home in Kansas City, Missouri.
While Swift nor Kelce’s teams have reported that they will be signing a prenup ahead of their reported July 3 nuptials, its likly that they will due to their expansive net worths. The popstar is worth an estimated $2 billion, and the Kansas City Chiefs star is worth $90 million.
TMZ predicts that the couple will go to Rhode Island for the legal agreement, given the immense worth that the two bring in. Given that they both have properties outside of their relationship — Swift also owns two properties in Beverly Hills, Calif. — it’s best that they choose a state that protects their investments.
The couple got engaged in August 2025 after dating for two years. Their wedding will allegedly take place in New York over the summer.
