Bet of the day
Middlesbrough draw no bet @ 21/20
Middlesbrough will feel rightly aggrieved that they didn’t win the first leg of their Championship play-off semi-final against Southampton after racking up 1.82 expected goals in the 0-0 draw.
However they are a tempting price to progress to Wembley with a win against the Saints, who failed to have a shot on target in the first leg.
Tonda Eckert’s side were clinging on for much of that game and Boro were handy away from home in the regular season as only Millwall and Coventry took more points on their travels than their total of 38.
Kim Hellberg’s men could also receive a big boost if Hayden Hackney wins his race to be fit for this second leg as the midfielder was one of the standout players in the second tier this season.
Middlesbrough’s finishing will certainly need to improve but they should create enough chances to get the better of this Southampton outfit and they can be backed at odds-against in the draw no bet market.
That looks a tempting prospect considering Boro’s dominance of the first game and their solid record away from home this season.

Tommy Conway to score at any time, Middlesbrough to win and over 2.5 goals @ 13/2
The first leg of the Championship play-off semi-final was a cagey affair but that may not be repeated in the second, with both teams hoping to get a result within 90 minutes.
Nine of Southampton’s last 10 games have gone over 2.5 goals and a repeat of that could be on the cards given the stakes.
Tommy Conway was a real livewire for Middlesbrough in the first game and the former Bristol City man could get on the scoresheet in the second.
The Scotland international scored 13 goals in the league this season and is also Boro’s penalty taker so looks like a tempting price to find the net at St Mary’s.
Middlesbrough’s chance creation has been there for all to see this season and with some slightly better finishing, they can win this one.

Aberdeen to beat St Mirren, Dundee United to beat Livingston, Real Betis to beat Elche and Celta Vigo to beat Levante @ 33/4
Aberdeen have pulled away from danger with three wins from their last four games and should be able to extend that good run with victory over St Mirren, who have lost 12 of their 18 away games this season.
Dundee United are fancied to get the better of a Livingston side who are already relegated while Real Betis can beat an Elche team who have taken just seven points away from home.
Celta Vigo are also expected to register a home win against relegation candidates Elche, who have lost the joint-most away games in La Liga (12).
