Stephen A. Smith demands Adam Schefter ‘get TESTED’ for perpetuating Cowboys hype

The Dallas Cowboys didn’t have the dramatic offseason as they have over the past few years. They didn’t have to worry about contract negotiations that went far into training camp, or even before the start of Week 1. There were no trade requests from any of their players. This turned out to be one of the better offseasons for the Cowboys, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter sent a message to Stephen A. Smith that may disturb him.

“This was a peaceful summer,” Schefter said on Get Up. “This was a productive summer, and I gotta tell you something right now. I got some bad news for Stephen A. Smith. The Dallas Cowboys are coming. They are coming this year, and Stephen A. is gonna be tested. I’m telling you right now, it’s gonna be a long, nervous, anxious year for Stephen A.”

It was indeed disturbing for Smith, so much that he immediately responded on social media.

“OMG! [Adam Schefter] has to get TESTED. He just went on Get Up, mentioned MY NAME, and swore that the Cowboys are coming….like I’m suppose to be worried. They’ve got the great Schefty hooked now. So sad! So sad! I can’t believe I have to tell HIM…..’Just Be Patient! Wait for the Fall. It’s coming.’ I’ve been right for 30 years…..going on 31!!!” Smith wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Smith hasn’t said many nice things about the Cowboys for a very long time, and it doesn’t seem like that’ll be changing anytime soon.

This could finally be the season the Cowboys are competitive after a few losing years, and they have the talent on both sides of the ball to do so. If they end the year with a winning record, all eyes will be on Smith to see what he has to say about the Cowboys.
