‘Serious improvement’ – Jake Paul leaves fans impressed in training footage before Anthony Joshua fight
Jake Paul has surprised fans as he showed off his skills on a punch bag ahead of his clash with Anthony Joshua.
Paul, who has limited experience in the boxing ring, will face the daunting task of taking on heavyweight superstar Joshua on December 19.

It has been a regimented month of gruelling training for Paul, who is determined to cause one of the biggest upsets in sporting history.
To prepare for the former Olympic gold medallist, the American has made several big power plays to upgrade his skills.
He has been showing off his long-hard days of training, which have even featured sparring with three top 20 ranked heavyweight contenders.
And after his latest gruelling day in his gym in Puerto Rico, Paul gave the public a glimpse into what he has been working on.
The ‘Problem Child’ has been adamant his speed will be a secret weapon and he showed that off on the heavy bag.
Although it opened debate, Paul looked to have sharpened his hands, letting some quick shots go, albeit likely at the height of Joshua’s body.
He captioned the video: “Upset incoming. Miami I arrive soon. Friday December 19th is my time.”
Reaction to Paul’s training footage
In comparison to footage from his early days in the sport, Paul looks have to drastically improved.
And boxing fans flooded the comments to his post, to surprisingly give the sporting disruptor some rare praise.

One wrote: “Jake Paul has improved at boxing quite a bit since 2018.”
Another agreed: “For real though he has seriously improved he looks great here.”
A fan even suggested: “People can say what they want about Paul, but the man looks great. Hat tip to anyone that actually puts in the work.”
Viewers shared different opinions, with ultimately concluding: “I think AJ is gonna rip his head off. But he looks solid on the bag.”
A fan even analysed, adding: “Hands coming back up, footwork purposeful, balance centered, moving off line — this is legit.”
While a final fan concluded: “He certainly looks better, but still looks amateur-ish. Joshua in two rounds.”
Could Paul somehow beat Joshua?

He is confident he can, but it looks to be a near impossible task given their gulf in size, boxing background and skillset.
Joshua has been beaten in recent times but by fellow leading contenders including Daniel Dubois last September.
But AJ will see this as a routine step to push towards world level again in 2026.
Paul’s biggest step up in quality to date saw him lose to Tommy Fury, who was far less experienced than Joshua.
Nonetheless, ‘El Gallo’ is praying that a miracle can unfold in Miami, and every fighter always has a puncher’s chance.
