Roy Keane rips into Bruno Fernandes for chasing personal records in explosive rant
Roy Keane has been left unimpressed with Bruno Fernandes’ pursuit of the Premier League assists record.
The Manchester United captain equalled the all-time single season record with his 20th assist of the campaign on Sunday.

Fernandes set up Bryan Mbeumo to score United’s third in their 3-2 home win over Nottingham Forest.
The Portuguese midfielder is now tied with Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne for the most Premier League assists in a season.
He could still break the record outright away to Brighton this weekend.
The Red Devils travel to the Amex for their final match of the season on Sunday.
Keane’s explosive rant
However, Keane was left furious with the attitude of Fernandes and his United team-mates during their victory over Forest.
Fernandes went into the match knowing he only needed one more assist to equal the record.
The former United skipper launched into an explosive rant as he reacted to the result on the latest episode of the Stick to Football podcast.
Keane exclaimed: “What I heard from United at the weekend, honestly, I was raging with it.
“The whole chat about Bruno’s assists. Players talking about his assists.
“After the game, he got interviewed and he said, ‘There are a few times I should have shot but I made the pass’, the captain of Man United, he said it himself.

“How can your mindset as a footballer be going into a match and be talking about some individual record?
“He is going to get them anyway, but for it to become the main point about Man United’s performance at the weekend, I was cringing.
“And all the players when he got the assist, going over to celebrate, what about the guy who scored the goal?”
United are already assured of a third place finish this season having sealed their Champions League return.
Michael Carrick’s side will be back in Europe after failing to qualify last season.
Meanwhile, Fernandes has enjoyed an impressive campaign with eight goals and 20 assists in his 34 league appearances.

His performances have already seen the 31-year-old named the FWA Footballer of the Year.
Although he is set to enter the final 12 months of his United contract this summer, the club hold the option to extend his deal by a further year.
