Phillies’ Brandon Marsh calls Philly All-Star a ‘dream come true’
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh is savoring the moment after becoming an MLB All-Star for the first time in his career. He is also starting in the 2026 MLB All-Star Game, which is going to take place in a very familiar environment for him, with the festivities in the All-Star break happening in the City of Brotherly Love.
“Most humble way very proud, you know, because like you said, it was it was a little rough start. And, you know, just going back to last April, it was it was if you guys said that I’d be here in this moment, I would have thought you were crazy,” the 28-year-old Marsh said in an interview, via Jeff Skversky of FOX29 Philly.
“So definitely have all the belief in the world and myself in the in the most humble way possible. But it’s a blessing. It’s a dream come true. You know, it’s like, what a no better time than this year for this to happen, you know, just with being a Philly and having the All-Star Game here.”
Marsh is in the middle of what could turn out to be the best season of his career in the big leagues. Through the first half of the 2026 MLB campaign, he has hit .301/.339/.490 with 15 home runs and 46 RBIs across 92 games. He is giving Philadelphia a big lift, as the club looks to top the National League East Division, which is currently being ruled over by the Atlanta Braves. At the break, the Phillies (54-43) are just two games behind the Braves (55-40).
Apart from Marsh, the Phillies will also be represented in the All-Star Game by Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper and Cristopher Sanchez.
