Paige Bueckers’ WNBA rookie debut Wings jersey just sold for a record price
The women’s sports memorabilia market has reached another milestone. The jersey Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers wore during her rookie debut on May 16, 2025, was just sold for $64,720, setting a record for the highest amount ever paid for a WNBA jersey.
Photo-matching and authentication company MeiGray facilitated the sale through its marketplace. Barry Meisel, president of the MeiGray Group, explained that the company obtained the jersey through the partnership it has with the Wings, Las Vegas Aces, and Golden State Valkyries to authenticate, photo-match, and auction off their memorabilia.
“We authenticated the jersey on-site, after the game, right off Paige’s back, photo-matched it,” Meisel said. “In six months, the record has doubled, which speaks to the rocket ship that is women’s sports and the authenticated game-worn market for women’s sports.”

The previous record for WNBA memorabilia belonged to A’ja Wilson, whose Aces jersey from Games 1 and 2 of the 2025 WNBA Finals went for $32,150 in November of last year. The highest amount of money paid for any item from a woman’s sport was $125,000 in 2017 for one of the two tennis rackets Billie Jean King used during her legendary “Battle of the Sexes” match in 1973.
“We’re seeing, across women’s sports, an appetite for game-worn women’s relics,” Meisel said. “The interest is robust, it’s growing, and it’s not speculative anymore.”
