Oleksandr Usyk’s training partner who went 27-0 to make UFC debut on final card of 2025
Oleksandr Usyk’s wish will come true when his training partner, Yaroslav Amosov, makes his UFC debut.
In June, boxing’s undefeated three-belt world heavyweight champion Usyk pleaded with UFC CEO Dana White to give Amosov a contract in his promotion.

Usyk had been doing the rounds with Amosov in preparation for his fight with Daniel Dubois, which ended with the latter flat on his back in the fifth round of their main event at Wembley Stadium.
“This is a future UFC world champion, Dana, please, send [the] contract — I’m serious,” Usyk said.
Well, just five months later, Amosov has now been booked to make his UFC debut on the promotion’s final card of 2025.
Who is Yaroslav Amosov fighting?
Amosov, 32, is set to make his UFC debut against Neil Magny at UFC Vegas 112.
The Las Vegas event is headlined by a ranked flyweight bout between Brandon Royval and Manel Kape.
It also marks White’s last event of 2025, before the UFC moves exclusively to Paramount+ in the United States as part of a whopping $7.7billion broadcast deal.
What is Amosov’s MMA record?
Amosov is a former Bellator welterweight champion and embarked on a frightening 27-fight winning streak before suffering his first professional MMA defeat in November 2023.
He made a name for himself on the Ukrainian regional scene before continuing to build his brand at Russian promotion Tech-Krep FC.
After scoring four first-round anaconda choke wins during his three-year stint at Tech-Krep FC, Amosov won the promotion’s welterweight title and defended it twice before signing to Bellator.
He won his first six bouts at Bellator, winning welterweight gold in his seventh by outpointing Douglas Lima in June 2021.

Amosov then defended his status against Logan Storley next time out before losing to Jason Jackson in November 2023 at Bellator 301.
The 32-year-old submitted Curtis Millender at middleweight in his last fight at CFFC 140 in March, with his record standing at 28-1.
After departing Bellator, it seemed like Amosov knew his UFC dream was always going to come.
“We have a plan to go to the UFC,” he said.
“I want to show the world I’m a good fighter, and I will be champion.
“I want to show the defeat, it’s just a mistake. I will show this world [it’s a] mistake.

“I’ve trained with many guys for many years, and I feel I can do this. I will take this belt.”
Amosov faces a UFC veteran in Neil Magny when he makes his inaugural appearance in White’s promotion.
Magny, 38, made his UFC debut in February 2013 and has 36 fights in the promotion.
The American is on a two-fight winning streak in 2025, having finished both of his last two bouts inside the distance.
He has previously suffered defeats to elite welterweights like Carlos Prates, Michael Morales, Ian Machado Garry, and Shavkat Rakhmonov in the last three years — all of whom are current top-10 ranked fighters.
