Securing Seaman is a significant win for Ryan Day’s staff, as it keeps one of the state’s premier “big men” in-house while fending off aggressive recruiting efforts from both Big Ten rivals and SEC powerhouses.

Seaman’s size and local ties make him a projected cornerstone for the Buckeyes’ offensive line in the coming seasons, ensuring the program’s physical identity remains intact.

The momentum continued into the 2027 recruiting cycle when four-star offensive tackle Jimmy Kalis also pledged his commitment to Ohio State.

Choosing the Buckeyes over an elite list of finalists, including Georgia, Clemson, Texas, and LSU, Kalis brings a massive 6-foot-8 frame to the 2027 class.
