Ohio State lands 4-star OL over Auburn, Penn State, Tennessee

Ohio State’s football team dominance in the 2026 NFL Draft was historic, with four Buckeyes selected in the top 11, a feat rarely seen.

The run began at No. 4 when the Tennessee Titans chose wide receiver Carnell Tate to enhance their offense around young quarterback Cam Ward.

Just one pick later, the New York Giants selected versatile linebacker Arvell Reese at No. 5 overall.

Reese’s hybrid ability and 6.5 sacks in his final season have already sparked comparisons to Micah Parsons, providing the Giants with a flexible defensive weapon for their rebuilding unit.

While the program’s veterans made headlines in the pros, the Buckeyes’ coaching staff continued to strengthen the future of the trenches.

Hayes Fawcett reported on X that four-star interior offensive lineman Davis Seaman has officially committed to Ohio State.

Standing 6’5” and weighing 285 pounds, the Columbus, Ohio native chose to stay home and represent the Buckeyes over high-profile offers from Auburn, Penn State, and Tennessee.

Securing Seaman is a significant win for Ryan Day’s staff, as it keeps one of the state’s premier “big men” in-house while fending off aggressive recruiting efforts from both Big Ten rivals and SEC powerhouses.

Seaman’s size and local ties make him a projected cornerstone for the Buckeyes’ offensive line in the coming seasons, ensuring the program’s physical identity remains intact.

The momentum continued into the 2027 recruiting cycle when four-star offensive tackle Jimmy Kalis also pledged his commitment to Ohio State.

Choosing the Buckeyes over an elite list of finalists, including Georgia, Clemson, Texas, and LSU, Kalis brings a massive 6-foot-8 frame to the 2027 class.

By securing both Seaman and Kalis, Ohio State has successfully landed two of the most coveted offensive line prospects in their respective classes, proving that the program is reloading its talent pool just as quickly as it sends its stars to the first round of the NFL Draft.
