NFL Thanksgiving Tips – Betting tips and predictions for Thanksgiving slate

The NFL season is heating up and Thanksgiving is upon us, bringing a blockbuster Thursday with three games.

The Detroit Lions host their NFC North rivals the Green Bay Packers in the opener while the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys will battle it out in the later game in a clash which could have major postseason implications.

The night will be rounded off as the Cincinnati Bengals visit the Baltimore Ravens in a matchup which will see all eyes on Joe Burrow, who is nearing a return from a toe injury.

Here we have picked out the best bets for the busy Thanksgiving slate.

Lions solid on home soil

The Detroit Lions were hardly convincing in their recent win over the New York Giants but they can shake that off with a victory over the Green Bay Packers in the first Thanksgiving game of the day.

The Lions are 11-3 at home, averaging 34 points per game in the process, since the start of last season and they may be too good for the Packers.

Green Bay have had a much easier schedule than their hosts and are 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games. 

They may struggle to contain Jahmyr Gibbs, who is coming off a record week against the Giants last week in which he had 264 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns.

By contrast, Green Bay’s running back Josh Jacobs is an injury doubt and that is a blow for the visitors, take Detroit to secure a comfortable win.

Points total too steep for Chiefs and Cowboys

The Kansas City Chiefs have dominated the NFL in recent seasons but they have been struggling this time around and badly need a victory when they visit the Dallas Cowboys.

Kansas City are 6-5 and need to turn things around quickly if they are to shore up a play-off spot. The under has landed in eight of their last 10 games as a result of their struggles and the same outcome looks likely against a resurgent Cowboys team.

Dallas shocked the Philadelphia Eagles recently and their defensive additions at the trade deadline are starting to have an impact, take under the points.

Ravens to continue upwards curve against Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals have been on a rough run without quarterback Joe Burrow and are currently 3-8 for the season.

Their star man is reportedly fit to feature against the Baltimore Ravens but it may not make much difference against a Ravens team on the up.

The Bengals’ defense have given up the most points in the league this season, 32.7 per game, and that is an issue against Lamar Jackson. Take the Ravens to cover the handicap in this one.
