NFL analyst tips Travis Kelce to shun retirement and ditch Chiefs for rebuilding NFC team
Speculation around Travis Kelce’s NFL future is growing.
The NFL offseason will once again be a period where Kansas City Chiefs fans hold their breath over their TE1’s potential retirement decision.

The Chiefs finished with an underwhelming 6-11 record in 2025, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
The season went from bad to worse when they lost quarterback Patrick Mahomes to a season-ending injury in Week 15.
The Chiefs are adding depth to their offense just in case Mahomes isn’t ready for Week 1 of the 2026 season, giving returning offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy plenty to think about.
Craig Carton drops a bombshell Kelce rumour
Radio host and sports personality Craig Carton has ignited speculation that Kelce may return for another season, but for another team outside of Kansas City.
Carton claims there is growing buzz that the future Hall of Famer has an interest in joining the New York Giants.
“The rumor is that Travis Kelce is not going to retire. He wants to come back for another year, but he does not want to go back to Kansas City,” he said on The Craig Carton Show.
“I saw a story today that Travis Kelce wants to play for the New York Giants!
“That way he and his wife can live in New York City, she can go to every game, and Travis Kelce can be in the biggest media market in America.
“I know it’s just a rumor, but do not sleep on the Giants signing Kelce this offseason.”

Kelce likely to stay with Kansas City despite rumored Giants interest
Historically, Kelce has long maintained that his career would conclude with him as the members of the Chiefs, the team that drafted him in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, with the 63rd overall pick.
Leaving the franchise he has represented for the last 13 years would be a huge shock, even if he and fiancée Taylor Swift want to move to New York.
Bieniemy, who has returned to the Chiefs coaching staff this year, already revealed he has spoken to Kelce this offseason.
But, the icing on the cake is that Kansas’ guard Trey Smith might have unknowingly confirmed Kelce will be back for the Chiefs in 2026.

Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT’s Will Gavin ahead of Super Bowl LX, Smith said: “It’s so much fun playing with Travis. Excited about next year with him as well. He’s just going to keep pushing.”
Until Kelce makes his official decision, the uncertainty and chatter will persist.
Whether it’s retirement, staying with the Chiefs, or joining the Giants, Kelce’s decision will shape one of the biggest storylines of the NFL offseason.
