Next Chelsea manager odds: Fabregas in the running for Blues job

Chelsea lost 3-0 to Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday night heaping more pressure on Liam Rosenior, having failed to capitalise in the top five race.

And former Chelsea midfielder and current Como gaffer Cesc Fabregas is in the mix, priced up at 6/1 to be the next man up at Stamford Bridge, with another former player and a current Premier League manager also in the running according to talkSPORT BET.

Rosenior enjoyed a bright start to life at Stamford Bridge, winning his first four league matches in charge.

But form has spiraled in the past few months, being dumped out of the Champions League, 8-2 on aggregate to PSG.

And only winning one Premier League game in their last six matches, including back-to-back defeats that has left them playing catch up in the race for top five.

Rosenior may have been cherry-picked by the board, after excelling at Chelsea’s parent club Strasbourg over the past 18 months. But BlueCo. have shown their ruthless in the past.

Dismissing Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino and most recently Enzo Maresca when they feel their plan doesn’t align with the Head Coach.

talkSPORT Bet have chalked up the market for the ‘next Chelsea manager odds’, while Fabregas is in the running, it’s a former Chelsea full-back that tops the billing right now.

Chelsea next manager odds (talkSPORT BET)

  • Filipe Luis – 2/1
  • Oliver Glasner – 4/1
  • Xavi Hernandez – 5/1
  • Cesc Fabregas – 6/1
  • Roberto de Zerbi – 6/1
  • Marco Silva – 8/1
  • Frank Lampard – 8/1
  • Unai Emery – 12/1
  • Fabien Hurzeler – 12/1
  • 33/1 BAR

Filipe Luis, is the 2/1 heavy favourite to be next in the Stamford Bridge hot seat. The Brazilian had a year playing in west London back in 2014/15 season, winning the Premier League and League Cup double under Jose Mourinho.

But it’s his credentials as manager of Flamengo that’s put him on the radar of the world’s top clubs. Luis won four trophies in one calendar 2025, including the Copa Libertadores, Brasilieiro Serie A and the Copa do Brazil, before an acrimonious departure at the start of March.

His resume may be short but it’s already highly-decorated and one that could appeal to Todd Boehly and BlueCo.

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner is next in the running at 4/1. The Austrian is already the club’s best ever manager winning the FA Cup in 2025 and beating Liverpool in the Community Shield at the beginning of the season.

It’s known publicly there’s been a falling out between Palace and the disillusioned Glasner, due to player sales.

But his achievements at the club will have got plenty of admirers from the Premier League and around Europe. And the former Frankfurt boss may feel staying in London is best for both his family and career advancement.

Out of work since leaving Barcelona in 2024. Xavi Hernandez is next in the line at 6/1. He won both La Liga and the Supercopa while in charge of his boyhood club.

The Spaniard will be keen to cut his teeth in another one of Europe’s top five leagues. Having a close connection with young players both as a player and a coach could stand him in good stead for the top job at Chelsea.

Former Chelsea and Arsenal man Cesc Fabregas, looks the stand out candidate though, also at 6/1.

The Spaniard is cutting his teeth in Serie A, with Como 1907. The club have only back been in the Italian top flight since 2024. Finishing 10th in their debut campaign and Fabregas has them in serious Champions League contention.

Currently sitting fourth, only behind Inter, Napoli and AC Milan. Ahead of Italian giants Juventus, Roma and Lazio.

A Premier League job is not out of the question. But is it still a bit early to for the young manager to come into the pressure-cooker of English football? As Rosenior is discovering.

Anyone backing a third spell in charge for Frank Lampard at 8/1? The Chelsea legend has already taken the job on two separate occasions.

But that was under Roman Abramovich’s rule, his relationship with the former Chelsea owner prove crucial.

Lampard is also working wonders at Coventry, nine points clear in the Championship. He will be a hero in those parts if he secures Premier League football for the first time since 2001. And will surely stick around in that first campaign.
