Manchester United deal for relegated Premier League player could hinge on Marcus Rashford

Manchester United have opened talks with West Ham over signing Crysencio Summerville, talkSPORT understands.

The two clubs are now in direct contact over a potential move.

Man United sources state that talks are only exploratory at this stage, but Summerville is one of the club’s main targets.

Crystal Palace‘s Ismaila Sarr is also being eyed by the Red Devils.

Any deal for a winger will be dependent on the future of Marcus Rashford, who is set to return to the club this summer.

Barcelona opted not to sign Rashford permanently after his loan and he could still end up staying at Old Trafford.

Summerville has been attracting interest from multiple Premier League sides following West Ham’s relegation.

The Dutch winger is expected to cost around £50million.

Tottenham enquired about him in January, with Man United then linked this summer as they eyed a double deal.

Mateus Fernandes was the other Hammers star they were keen on, but he has now joined Spurs for £85m.

So, Summerville remains the only possible arrival from that pair, after a season that saw him score five goals.

He also provided four assists in 31 top-flight appearances, while being unable to help Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side stay up.
