  • Phil Foden to score Only Erling Haaland has scored more goals for Manchester City this season than the England playmaker, with nine of his 14 goal contributions this season coming at the Etihad
  • Both teams to score Man City are winless in their last four league games while Wolves are unbeaten in their last six. Despite their positions in the league tables, the visitors will fancy their chances at causing their hosts a scare
  • Over 3.5 goals Man City are the Premier League’s leading goal scorers this season, while only two teams have conceded more than Wolves
  • Andre to be carded No player on either team has received more yellow cards this season than the Wolves midfielder who has been booked twice in his last two appearances, collecting his eighth of the campaign in last week’s draw with Newcastle

Manchester City will be desperate to get back to winning ways on Saturday afternoon after falling to two surprise defeats in the last week, which have seriously scuppered their hopes in both the Premier League and Champions League.

Pep Guardiola’s side slipped to seven points adrift of Premier League leaders Arsenal last weekend following their surprise 2-0 defeat in the Manchester derby in what was Michael Carrick’s first game in charge of the Red Devils following his appointment as interim boss.

The Cityzens then failed to get back to winning ways, falling to a humiliating 3-1 loss in Norway to Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League on Tuesday evening which has left them facing an uphill battle to finish in the top eight and a place in the last 16.

In the Premier League, City still currently sit second in the table despite not having won any of their last four games in the competition, a run they’ll be needing to put right at home against the league’s bottom club on Saturday.

Guardiola’s men will be eager to get back to playing in front of their home fans, where they scored double figures in their most recent outing, and have won 11 of their last 13 domestic matches without defeat since their opening home game of the campaign.

Wolves make the trip to the Etihad Stadium unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions, the club’s longest run without defeat so far in what has been a dismal season so far.

Rob Edwards’ side have still sit firmly at the bottom of the Premier League table with just eight points to their name, 22 games into the campaign, but six of those points have been picked up in their last four matches.

The West Midlands side are the only Premier League team yet to pick up a victory away from home this season, a run they’ll be hoping to end against a potentially wounded Manchester City side, as Edwards’ men aim to close the 14 point gap between themselves and safety.

Manchester City have won 10 of their last 11 matches against Wolves, including each of their last five visits to the Etihad. Guardiola also has a 100% record when managing against Edwards, the Spaniards’ sides having scored 13 goals in three matches against the Welshman.
