Liverpool wonderkid hosted by Trent Alexander-Arnold at Real Madrid game hits huge milestone
Liverpool wonderkid Joshua Abe scored his first hat-trick for the Reds’ Under-18s in a 6-1 thrashing of Leeds on Saturday.
The 15-year-old, who is signed to Trent Alexander-Arnold‘s brother Tyler’s PLG (Player Group) agency, has enjoyed a breakout season.

The winger, who has reportedly attracted interest from Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal, recently toured Real Madrid’s facilities.
Abe was invited to the Bernabeu by Alexander-Arnold’s family to watch Los Blancos beat Sevilla 2-0 five days before Christmas.
He joined the England international and his brother on the pitch afterwards, while he was also handed a signed Vinicius Junior shirt.
Abe has continued to make headlines in 2026 after returning to play for Liverpool’s Under-18s and has now scored his first hat-trick at this level.
The England youth star opened the scoring in a 6-1 thrashing against Leeds at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre on Saturday afternoon.
Lucas Clarke doubled the home side’s lead before Abe completed his hat-trick with two goals in five minutes to notch a 21-minute treble.
He then registered an assist for Josh Sonni-Lambie’s 20th goal of the season while Prince Kobe Cisse added a sixth for his first Under-18s strike.
Leeds had the final word as Samuel Alker managed a late consolation, but Abe still grabbed the headlines after claiming the matchball.
Who is Joshua Abe?
The left-footed right-winger has been on the books at Anfield since Under-9 level, with Alexander-Arnold ironically present on his signing day.
Alexander-Arnold’s brother, Tyler, now manages both his and Abe’s affairs eight years later.

The latter is yet to pen scholarship terms with Arne Slot’s men and cannot be tied to a professional deal until 2027.
However, Abe revealed on his Instagram story that he did join Liverpool’s first-team training ahead of the 2-1 defeat to Man City.
His involvement came just two days after he became the club’s youngest-ever UEFA Youth League player against MSK Zilina Under-19s.
Last year, he was part of the England Under-15 side that lost to Portugal in the Vlatko Markovic Tournament in a game in which Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. also featured off the bench.
Abe won’t be involved in Liverpool’s FA Cup tie with Brighton, but youngsters Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni are expected to play.
“I am always looking at the younger players,” Slot said in his pre-match press conference.

“A few of them are closer and closer to first-team football.
“Rio and Trey have had that, and games like this could be an option but it is about the right balance. We play a strong team and who to play is something to think about.
“Of course, it gives us more questions [that it is Brighton]. If we had a different opponent, then I maybe make other choices.”
