Liverpool came from behind to beat Newcastle 4-1 at Anfield on Saturday night to end their five-game winless run.
Former Everton winger Anthony Gordon scored the opening goal of the game, with the hosts struggling to get going.
But two goals in two minutes from Hugo Ekitike inspired a rapid comeback for Arne Slot‘s side before half-time.
And then after the break, Florian Wirtz netted the third before Ibrahima Konate poked home a late fourth.
The result moves Liverpool to within one point of the Premier League‘s top four, as beaten Newcastle remain in 10th.
