Leeds v Fulham prediction

Leeds head into this weekend’s crunch match against Fulham having got back to winning ways last time out with a 3-1 victory at Derby in the FA Cup to end a four match winless run, having conceded two stoppage time goals to fall 4-3 to Newcastle in their previous outing.

Daniel Farke’s side’s return to the victory means they now head into the weekend having lost only one of their last nine matches in all competitions, albeit with only two wins in the league in that time, but the constant ticking over of points has seen them pull out of and clear of the relegation zone.

The Whites are currently sitting eight points above the bottom three in 16th place, and have drastically improved their home form after winning only one of their first four matches at Elland Road this season, picking up eight points from their most recent four in front of their home fans.

Fulham head to Yorkshire also in the midst of a purple patch in form, with just one defeat in their last eight games and unbeaten in their last six following their FA Cup victory against a promotion-chasing Middlesbrough side in the Championship.

Marco Silva’s side have won four of their last six matches, only dropping points against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and against the defending champions Liverpool before returning to winning ways in a west London derby against Chelsea.

The strong run of form has seen the Cottagers climb into the top half of the Premier League table, where they currently occupy ninth position, and are only two points off the top five and just four behind fourth-placed Liverpool.

Leeds have won each of their last four meetings against Fulham, and an entertaining match up between the two can be expected on Saturday between two teams enjoying the best form of their season, which leads to below a high scoring game is on the cards, perhaps a 2-2 draw.

Leeds v Fulham betting tips

Unbeaten runs continue

Both sides are perhaps in the form of their season so far and starting to scale up the table of late, with Leeds having lost just one of their last nine matches in all competitions while Fulham with just one defeat in their last eight.

Dominant Calvert-Lewin

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in outstanding form since his summer move to Elland Road, with only three people having scored more Premier League goals than the former Everton striker.

The England international is just one goal shy of double figures for the season already, with eight of his goals for the campaign coming in his last nine appearances.

Another Ampadu caution

No player on either team received more yellow cards this season than Leeds’ holding midfielder Ethan Ampadu, the Welsh international having been cautioned on six occasions so far, including in each of his last two Premier League appearances.
