League One club forced to postpone upcoming fixture due to international call-ups
Bolton Wanderers’ clash with Stevenage has been postponed due to international call-ups.
The two sides were due to meet in League One on Saturday, March 28.

However, the fixture will now be rescheduled, the Trotters have confirmed.
It comes ahead of this month’s international break, which will run from March 23 to 31.
Bolton statement
In a statement confirming the postponement, Bolton said: “Wanderers’ scheduled League One fixture at home to Stevenage on Saturday, 28th March has been postponed due to international call-ups.
“A new date for the game will be confirmed in due course.”
It is the second time this season that a match between Bolton and Stevenage has been postponed.
The reverse fixture at Broadhall Way in November was also re-arranged due to international call-ups.
Stevenage ultimately welcomed Bolton to Hertfordshire in January, with the two sides playing out a 0-0 draw.
Bolton have had six players called up for international duty in recent months.
Eoin Toal is a regular in the Northern Ireland squad, whilst both Josh Sheehan and David Harrington have been called up by Wales of late.
Johnny Kenny could also be included in the Republic of Ireland squad to face Czechia on March 26.

Northern Ireland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland will all be in World Cup play-off action later this month.
The trio of nations are aiming to earn a place at this summer’s tournament in Canada, Mexico and the USA.
Meanwhile, there is also a plethora of international friendlies scheduled for the international break.
Bolton duo Chris Forino and Thierry Gale have also received call-ups this season.
The pair have been included by St. Lucia and Barbados for recent international fixtures.
Steven Schumacher’s side are currently chasing promotion to the Championship for the first time since 2019.

They currently sit third in League One with 10 matches of the season remaining.
Although Bolton are 10 points clear of seventh, they find themselves nine adrift of the automatic promotion spots.
Lincoln City and Cardiff City are leading the race to reach the Championship.
However, Bolton could cut the gap when they travel to face Rotherham on Saturday.
