Lakers star LeBron James fires a savage response to Jabari Smith’s claim

The Los Angeles Lakers have had two cracks at closing out the Houston Rockets after taking a 3-0 lead in their first-round playoff series, but have not been able to do so. On Wednesday night, the Rockets survived another Lakers push on the road, getting a 99-93 win to send the series back to Houston for a Game 6.

Before Game 5, Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. turned heads when he said that he believes the Rockets are better than the Lakers despite trailing in the series.

After the Houston win in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Lakers star LeBron James responded to that viral claim.

“I don’t care about s**t like that bro,” James said matter-of-factly. “The game is won between the four lines. I don’t give a damn who cares. Of course he would say that. Why would you say ‘Oh, we’re not the better team.’ Ask one of the young guys that question, I’m too old for that s**t.'”
