Jamie O’Hara unfollows talkSPORT colleague over brutal social media dig about Tottenham Hotspur

Jamie O’Hara has taken some drastic action to make sure his head doesn’t explode over Tottenham Hotspur’s nightmare season.

The ex-Spurs midfielder stormed out of the talkSPORT studio on Thursday night after his old side lost 3-1 at home to Crystal Palace.

Defeat for Igor Tudor’s men leaves them just one point above the Premier League relegation zone with nine games to play.

It means they are at major risk of dropping out of the top-flight for the first time since 1977 in an all-time shock.

O’Hara lost his cool even before Tottenham kicked a ball in midweek, after north London rivals Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points.

And things got a lot worse after Spurs continued their woeful form against Palace, with his rage continuing on Friday.

Gift of the Gab

His talkSPORT colleague and fellow former Premier League star, Gabby Agbonlahor, made sure to rub salt in his wounds on Instagram by mocking his appearance on dating show ‘Love Undercover’.

Sharing a clip of O’Hara on the show, Agbonlahor captioned his post, ‘Spurs players on holiday in the summer trying to explain playing in the championship next season,’ leading to the ex-midfielder to take drastic action to try and avoid another angry outburst.

Speaking on talkSPORT on Friday, Agbonlahor said: “I want to apologise live on air for what I did, actually, I don’t want to apologise, I’ve changed my mind.

“It was retaliation, two days ago when my beloved Aston Villa were losing, he posted a picture of me on Twitter of me crying in a Villa shirt.

“It was a retaliation and we’re even now, I’m sure we can make up.

“Even though he has unfollowed me on social media, which is very extreme, it’s very Spurs player-like, isn’t it?”

Friends to enemies

So, O’Hara has made sure to deny Agbonlahor any chance to wind him up about Tottenham’s shocking demise.

And he may end up doing the same to presenter Laura Woods.

Woods, who used to work with O’Hara here at talkSPORT, called into The Sports Bar after Arsenal’s crucial win away at Brighton on Wednesday.

She shared a good laugh with co-host Jason Cundy about Spurs’ relegation chances, forcing O’Hara to put his head in his hands.

They then also shared a social media back-and-forth afterwards.

Woods’ mocking is a warning that she could be the next victim of O’Hara’s unfollowing as he continues to rage amid his club’s nightmare season.

Spurs slammed

After Agbonlahor revealed news of his blocking from O’Hara, talkSPORT’s chief football correspondent Alex Crook took the attention onto just how bad Tottenham have been instead.

Crook said: “The loss tells you what we’ve been saying for weeks now, it’s a dressing room full of over-entitled players and egos that outweigh their footballing ability.

“It was a ridiculous, brainless decision from Micky van de Ven, but he’s not the first Tottenham captain to let them down.

“You’ve got Pedro Porro with his theatrics, slapping seats after being taken off – do your fighting on the pitch, show your care on the pitch.

“They’ve made a terrible appointment in Igor Tudor, it was never going to work out…he’s tried to go down the route of saying the attitude isn’t good enough, they need to run more.

“They’re not going to listen to him, they didn’t listen to Thomas Frank, so why would they listen to him if he’s only there until the end of the season?”
