Jamie O’Hara clashes with Tottenham fan over ‘stupid’ Premier League title claim
Tottenham are battling against relegation from the Premier League, but one fan believes the title could be theirs next season.
talkSPORT caller Joe rang into the Sports Bar to explain why, only for former Spurs man Jamie O’Hara to emphatically shut his claim down.

Spurs were 3-2 winners over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday, but were still beaten 7-5 on aggregate.
It was their first victory since the end of January, with recent results putting them at risk of a sensational relegation from the top flight.
Interim boss Igor Tudor has struggled to get a tune out of Spurs, but one fan has seen enough from the team to eye Premier League glory.
“Right, I just wanted to say, I may sound like an absolute clown saying this,” Joe said.
“After that performance that we put in tonight, if we saw that week in, week out, like the old Tottenham, and we played like that every single week, for me, there is no reason why we cannot be in title contention next season.”
Both O’Hara and Jason Cundy were in visible disbelief at they had just heard, and there was a short awkward silence in the studio.
“Let’s just not be stupid right now,” O’Hara replied, and then when he found out Joe was 19, he added: “Grow up.”
“Guys, I’m being honest here!” Joe insisted but once again, O’Hara was not having any of it and said: “You’re not, you’re just being stupid.”
O’Hara calls out ‘stupid’ and ‘ridiculous’ claim
Cundy then returned his classic deprecating self on The Sports Bar as he sided with the caller
“Did you see encouraging signs though?” he asked, and when Joe said ‘100 per cent’, he replied: “I’m starting to think Joe might be right.

“If that carries on, the improvement we’ve seen under Igor, from last week in Spain, away at Liverpool and tonight.
“If that carries on… you’ll shoot up the table.”
Cundy smirked and O’Hara shook his head, as Joe added: “I’m not even saying this just to get my little bit of airtime or whatever.
“I genuinely, genuinely think that, and I was saying that to people I work with.”
O’Hara responded: “Well, Joe, I think you’re lying. I think you’re a liar… Honestly, you’re an absolute nugget.
“You can’t come here and say, ‘If we keep playing like that, we can win the title’.

“It’s just stupid… it’s ridiculous.”
O’Hara then finished off the call by saying: “I need some proper calls tonight, Joe. Off you pop, I’m not having it!”
‘Relegation Richy’ to save Spurs?
When Liverpool scored the opening goal at Anfield on Sunday, Spurs were sat in 17th and only out of the bottom three on goal difference.
They then rescued a precious point in the 90th minute courtesy of a low finish from Richarlison, his sixth career goal against the Reds.
Speaking on Inside Spurs for talkSPORT, Tottenham broadcaster Sonny Snelling suggested that Richarlison is the man who can drag Spurs away from the drop.
“I went a bit viral on this show a couple months ago when I said… ‘I would rather have a shovel up top than him’,” Sonny said.

“But I’ll be honest… this is an awful pun, he’s going to dig us out of this! He is the only player in this squad who has actually been in a relegation-threatened side, that Everton side.
“We all remember that shot of him with the blue flare, he has that passion and that energy.
“Don’t get me wrong, I watched the highlights back and there were so many chances, like the one where it just goes over his head.
“So he has still got a ricket in him, but you sort of knew when that ball fell to his feet, he was going to put it away.”
