Jake Paul boxer Shadasia Green provides update after suffering brain bleed during KO loss
Shadasia Green remains in the intensive care unit, three days removed from her stoppage loss to Lani Daniels.
The 36-year-old was taken out of the ring on a stretcher after dropping her IBF and WBO super middleweight titles to Daniels on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden.

Both women met on the undercard of a show staged by Jake Paul‘s Most Valuable Promotions and headlined by a unified IBF, WBA and WBO super featherweight title fight between Alycia Baumgardner and Bo Mi Re Shin.
MVP fighter Green opened up as a heavy favourite with the bookies, but was quickly pulled into a firefight by the marauding Daniels.
By the eighth stanza, Green looked to be in serious discomfort, and in round nine, she was stopped against the ropes by a relentless onslaught of punches.
Green (16-2) was removed from the ring on a stretcher and rushed to a local hospital, where she was found to have a bleed on the brain.
On Sunday, she took to Instagram to provide a promising update on her condition.
Shadasia Green releases statements
“With everything in me, I wanna thank those who had great concern and even the people who figured out during the fight [that] something was wrong,” Green wrote.
“I passed out due to bleeding out of my brain.
“However, I am in [the] ICU on the road to healing. I’ll be back to get what’s mine.”
Green shed further light on her injury during a follow-up post on Facebook.
“I wanna thank everybody for [their] prayers and supporters,” she added.

“I was winning the fight until my injury got the best of me!
“I’m currently in the hospital in ICU with blood on my brain! A 9 millimeter to be exact.
” No surgery needed, taking medication to decrease it, and my wife and mother [are] at my side.
“Thank you for all the love and prayers. I appreciate you all.”
Green is now under an indefinite suspension from the New York State Athletic Commission pending neurological clearance.
