‘I’m still alive’ – Alan Brazil returns to the talkSPORT Breakfast show and gives update on health
Alan Brazil is back on talkSPORT!
The legendary Breakfast show presenter was taken off air due to illness on January 22 and consequently took some time off.

But after recovering well and getting back to his brilliant best via text message last week, he’s finally back in the building.
Brazil returned to host the Breakfast show on Wednesday morning alongside fellow Scottish legend Ally McCoist.
And, in perfect fashion, he was reintroduced with a rendition of himself and McCoist singing ‘Gold’ by Spandau Ballet – and Brazil is indeed indestructible.
Welcoming listeners to the show, he, of course, began with a joke before explaining what happened to him on air.
Brazil began: “I’m still alive! I’ve never had so many texts and emails asking: ‘Are you alright? Are you dead? Are you dying?
“Give us a break! Honestly.”
He added: “I had a big infection in my right ear and my left ear was blocked…I was sat here thinking I was going to fall off my chair.
“That’s the worst I’ve been, terrible.”
McCoist then laughed along as Brazil took aim at the crew in the talkSPORT studio who help run our YouTube stream and couldn’t turn down the lights.
“These lights don’t help, I’ve said to them to turn them down, but do they listen? They’re stupid.”

Giving Brazil a helping hand
After giving his intro to the show, Brazil then quickly moved on to some nice gifts given to him from the Breakfast team.
Brazil angrily asked when spotting a cauliflower, a ginger shot and some other healthy supplements: “What is this in front of me?
To which McCoist burst into laughter at the prank, chuckling: “I’ve just noticed, what is that?! They’re trying to look after you.”
talkSPORT’s returning Breakfast host then admitted: “I’m bored now, I don’t go out, I don’t go to the pub.
“I’m sitting there watching movies…some of them are murder.
“I’ve been watching some horse racing, catching up on Dublin ahead of the Cheltenham Festival.”

What happened to Brazil?
On Thursday, January 22, Brazil was feeling unwell during the Breakfast show and was taken off air.
Gabby Agbonlahor took over as host and Katie Shanahan joined him for the remainder of the programme.
Thankfully, he was okay, with positive updates then following, and now, Brazil is back and we’re all delighted.
