How to buy tickets for Champions League matches?

There are a number of ways to get your hands on Champions League tickets.

But with that said, it’s not always so straightforward.

Read up on the following options below:

Club allocation

The first option will be buying the tickets from the clubs themselves.

Each participating team is allocated a specific number of seats, which they usually offer to season ticket holders and official members before the general public.

Allocation will depend a number of factors including the home side’s stadium size, whether or not it’s a home or away fixture and the specific stage of the competition.

For home matches, the vast majority of tickets remain with the hosting club, though securing them often requires a paid membership and a bit of luck in a digital queue.

Away fixtures are notoriously more difficult to attend, as the travelling allocation is strictly limited to a minimum of 5% of the stadium’s total capacity.

In these instances, clubs almost always prioritise their most loyal supporters who have accumulated “loyalty points” from attending previous European and away matches.

All six English sides still remain in the competition

Secondary ticketing websites

Another way to secure tickets for Champions League games is through secondary ticketing websites.

Sites such as Stubhub, Ticombo, and Hellotickets offer tickets listed by individual sellers or brokers, often at slightly higher prices.

One of the biggest advantages of these sites is the flexibility they offer, often allowing fans to look for various seating options.

Tickets are often facilitated through official club channels too, so fans don’t have to worry about any double-sold or paper-copy fraud scams.

Hospitality

Another option for fans to look at is hospitality packages.

These packages are either sold directly through the clubs themselves or through partnered sites such as Seat Unique.

When buying directly through the clubs or Seat Unique, hospitality packages often don’t require a fan membership.

Of course, there’s usually a premium price in place to reflect this, but these packages also usually come equipped with food and drinks included in the price.

Some of the more premium options even including three-course dining experiences, meetings with club legends, and more.

What is the Champions League 2026 match schedule?

The Champions League will continue with the Round of 16 fixtures commencing from the 10 March with both legs completed by the 18 March.

After a short break, the successful teams will return for the Quarter Final, with the two legs taking place between 7 – 15 April.

The final four sides will then complete the last two-legged phase in the Semi Finals between 28 April – 6 May.

Everything will then lead to the grand finale as the Champions League final takes place on Saturday, 30 May at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary.

  • Round of 16, 10 – 18 March
  • Quarter Final, 7 – 15 April
  • Semi Final, 28 April – 6 May
  • Final, 30 May

Are tickets for the Champions League final on sale?

For fans looking to secure their place at the final, there are already tickets available on secondary sites.

Tickets for the final are notoriously hard to come by, so it might not come as a surprise that prices aren’t exactly the cheapest.

There are currently a number of tickets available on secondary retailer Ticombo, with prices starting at £3,810.

The most expensive ticket on the site is available for an eye-watering £29,254, demonstrating the sheer global demand for the second-biggest sporting final after the FIFA World Cup.
