Harry Kane still underrated despite beating Cristiano Ronaldo to stunning milestone
Harry Kane is still being ‘disrespected’ despite incredibly reaching 500 career goals faster than Cristiano Ronaldo.
And that’s something that talkSPORT host and ex-Chelsea defender Jason Cundy has been left bewildered by.

Kane remarkably reached half a century of goals last weekend, netting twice for Bayern Munich to hit the 500 mark.
By doing so, he became the first Englishman ever to get to that tally and reached it 12 games quicker than Ronaldo managed.
The England captain is already his country’s highest-scoring player ever too, netting 78 goals for the Three Lions.
He also continues to break record after record in Germany after winning his first career trophy with Bayern last season.
However, Kane remains doubted by some football fans and Cundy has been left in disbelief that he’s still being underrated.
The former defender said on talkSPORT Drive: “He’s a phenomenal player. I cannot believe the disrespect that he still gets.
“He is more than just goals, he’s not just a goalscorer, his all-round game… he could play as a 10, comfortably play as a 10, his range of passing… he scores all different types of goals.
“And people still will listen to that and say he’s not world-class. I don’t know why.”
Drive host Andy Goldstein then added: “I don’t think you can deny that now, I don’t think it’s impossible, the guy is top of the list. He got to 500 quicker than Ronaldo!”
Cundy replied: “He’s not just a goalscorer, he links up play, his hold up play is brilliant, he can drop in and play deeper…. Kane is just a wonderful footballer.”

Trophy argument is over
Kane often found himself doubted over his lack of trophies in his career, never winning one until last summer.
However, after lifting the Bundesliga last season with Bayern, he managed to finally shake that unwanted reputation.
“The argument was always going to be about Harry Kane not being world-class because he’d never won a major honour, that was how they viewed that,” Cundy said.
“But now he’s won the Bundesliga, I don’t know whether that changes people’s opinion… he’s won two World Cup Golden Boots.
“He could get to 100 goals for England. It’s in his sights, he could get there, he’s going to go very close.
“I’m just amazed people still aren’t having him, honestly.”

Is Kane the greatest ever English striker?
Cundy was then asked by co-host Goldstein whether Kane can be regarded as the best ever English striker.
With 78 goals, he is the Three Lions’ all-time top scorer, sitting above many legends, including Jimmy Greaves, Dixie Dean, Wayne Rooney, Steve Bloomer and Alan Shearer.
Kane has 134 more career goals than Manchester United icon Rooney, and the decision came down to the two ex-Premier League stars.
And after some deliberation, Cundy said: “Rooney should have really got the amount of goals that Kane has.
“Technically, I think Rooney [is better than Kane], but Kane is the better goalscorer.”
An undecided Cundy then determined: “He could be [the greatest English striker ever].”
