Four Premier League giants tracking Morgan Rogers as Aston Villa name price for England star
Morgan Rogers is likely to leave Aston Villa this summer, even if Unai Emery’s side qualify for the Champions League, talkSPORT understands.
Rogers only signed a new contract in November 2025, keeping him at the club until summer 2031, but that deal only added an extra 12 months to his old terms.

At the time, the England attacker was on the radar of both Chelsea and Liverpool, both of whom retain an interest.
The 23-year-old is now also being tracked by Manchester United and Arsenal, meaning Villa could receive multiple offers from some of the Premier League’s big six.
Villa would ideally like to keep Rogers, and there is no suggestion the player is pushing for an exit, but there is an acceptance that a significant sale is needed, not solely just to balance the books but also fund summer business as well.
Sources say Rogers’ potential departure comes as no surprise to Villa, given that it was discussed when he extended his stay that the club would listen to offers this summer.
Last summer, suitors felt an £80m bid might prove competitive, and talkSPORT understands that number is still the starting point to negotiate.
Giants do battle for Rogers
Chelsea are still looking for another attacker who can play centrally or off the left. That’s despite the arrivals of Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho last summer.
Sporting’s Geovany Quenda will also arrive this summer and is viewed as a left-winger, even though also capable of playing full back.
Meanwhile, Liverpool could add two wingers ahead of 2026/27 in order to replace Mohamed Salah and fill the void left when Luis Diaz departed for Bayern Munich ahead of this season.
The Reds’ top priority appears to be a right-sided attacker, knowing Hugo Ekitike can operate off the left, but entering the race for Rogers can’t be discounted.
As for Man United, they view Leipzig’s Yan Diomande as one of their leading targets and may well face competition from Liverpool.

The 19-year-old Ivorian is valued by the German club around the same as Rogers, which put clubs off making an approach in January.
Leipzig are also trying to get Diomande to extend before selling him in summer 2027.
Yet Rogers is also a player appreciated by both Michael Carrick and Jason Wilcox.
Carrick overlapped with Rogers during his time as manager at Middlesbrough, while Wilcox played a role in the England internationals’ development at Manchester City.
And for Arsenal, they want to add a starting left-winger this summer, and if that profile can also play as a number ten or second striker, it would be viewed as a bonus.
Although Eberechi Eze was signed as a ten, Martin Ødegaard only has two years left on his contract this summer, while Ethan Nwaneri, who was promised gametime as a ten as well as a right winger prior to extending at Arsenal, could yet be sold. Dortmund are one of the clubs interested.

Rogers would fit the profile Arsenal are seeking and Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon is also currently high in their thinking.
Interest from abroad?
In addition to Premier League interest, reports have linked Rogers with a move abroad to both Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich.
But talkSPORT understands neither are currently frontrunners.
PSG could add another attacker, but are still determining whether that’s a winger or forward and are currently well-stocked in Rogers’ position.
Bayern expect to keep hold of Michael Olise despite links with a return to the Premier League and are delighted with the impact Diaz has made since joining from Liverpool.
It is unlikely Vincent Kompany’s side will decide to spend £80m+ for a player like Rogers despite the appreciation.
