Tottenham Hotspur lost their sixth consecutive match on Tuesday night, going down 5-2 to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

City lost ground on Arsenal in the Premier League title race during the last round of top-flight fixtures. Currently seven points adrift of top spot, Pep Guardiola will not want that gap to grow any larger.

City will not have everything their own way against an improving West Ham United side, who know that a draw here would lift them out of the relegation zone (at least temporarily).

But while West Ham should have some joy, we are backing City to eke out a victory in the capital.

Michael Carrick lost his first game as Manchester United manager last time out, but the Red Devils are still well positioned in the fight for Champions League football.

United are one of four teams competing for the three remaining qualification berths behind Arsenal and Manchester City. Aston Villa are another.

Unai Emery’s side were considered title contenders by some observers a few months back, but now they are in danger of dropping out of the top five.

Villa have won just one of their last six matches in the Premier League. Moreover, they have only had three days to prepare for this meeting with United, whose last match was on March 4.

Fatigue looks to have set in at Villa and they will be in for a difficult 90 minutes at Old Trafford. United can get back on track in front of their own supporters.
