Fever’s Caitlin Clark gushes about genuine chemistry with Aliyah Boston

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever notched their third win in four outings after surviving the Chicago Sky in overtime, 114-106, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Thursday.

After blowing a five-point lead in the last 18 seconds of regulation, the Fever redeemed themselves in the extension, outscoring the Sky, 16-8, to seal the hard-earned victory.

The duo of Clark and Aliyah Boston was unstoppable. Clark had 32 points, seven rebounds, and 10 assists, while Boston tallied 34 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.

Clark said her tight bond with Boston has been key to their growing chemistry, as shown in the video posted by The Athletic’s James Boyd.

“I think we’re good friends. That always helps. Yeah, you can be teammates and play basketball, but if you really care for each other and love each other off the court, and that goes for the whole team, when you have that bond and you truly get to know somebody and build a relationship with them, that helps,” said Clark.

“I think we got a little telepathy now. Hopefully, we can get that going more.”

Clark and Boston, who are both 24 years old and No. 1 picks, often hang out off the court. They like to rib each other and play little pranks. On the court, they are not afraid to call out each other. They spent time together on Team USA earlier this year.

Indiana drafted Boston in 2023, followed by Clark in 2024, teaming them up with Kelsey Mitchell and rejuvenating the long-suffering franchise.

With the win over the Sky, the Fever improved to 7-5. They will face the Connecticut Sun on Saturday.
