FC Midtjylland player seriously injured in stabbing as club release statement
FC Midtjylland confirmed youngster Alamara Djabi is recovering after he was the victim of a violent stabbing attack.
“Alamara Djabi was seriously injured in a stabbing and is now in stable condition after two operations,” a club statement read.

“He has woken up from an induced coma and is doing well under the circumstances.
“FC Midtjylland is in close dialogue and collaboration with the authorities and supports him and his family.”
According to Danish publication Tipsbladet, the incident occurred in the town of Herning, where Midtjylland are located.
The report adds Djabi was ‘in danger of death’ following the attack and immediately underwent emergency surgery.
Danish police have also released a statement indicating they are looking for a fair-skinned 20-year-old male in connection to a stabbing in Herning on Sunday.
Djabi, a central midfielder, has made just one senior appearance for Midtjylland this season.
That came in the second leg of Midtjylland’s Europa League qualifying round clash against Finnish side KuPS on August 28.
The 19-year-old came on for the last 25 minutes and helped Midtjylland ease to a 2-0 win in the second leg, wrapping up a 6-0 win on aggregate.
Even though Djabi hasn’t been a constant presence on the pitch for Midtjylland’s first team, he has still been in and around the squad.
The teen has made the bench for two of Midtjylland’s Danish Superliga fixtures, although he was an unused substitute.

He was also on the pine for six out of Midtjylland’s eight league phase fixtures in the Europa League yet did not see any minutes.
Djabi began his career at Benfica, where he represented their Under-15 and Under-17 teams.
Midtjylland then moved for the talented teen in August 2023 and put him straight into their Under-19 squad.
Djabi soon got his first taste of senior football a year later when he was sent out on loan to Mafra, who played in the Portuguese second tier.
But it proved to be a rough initiation as Mafra finished dead last and were relegated, with Djabi making just seven appearances.
