Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois announced with date and venue for British blockbuster revealed
Fabio Wardley will defend his WBO heavyweight title against Daniel Dubois on May 9.
The all-British blockbuster will go down at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena, per Sky Sports.
Wardley was upgraded to full heavyweight champion by the WBO three months ago when Oleksandr Usyk vacated the strap.
He claimed the interim strap by stopping Joseph Parker at London’s O2 Arena in his last bout in October, having defeated Justis Huni in his native Ipswich four months prior.
Dubois, on the other hand, is seeking to reclaim his status as a world champion at heavyweight, having suffered a brutal defeat to Usyk last time out.
The loss to Usyk came 10 months after Dubois shockingly knocked out Anthony Joshua at Wembley.
