Only Arsenal have earned more points away from home in the Premier League this season than Chelsea, who have also won two of their last three matches on the road and three of their last four against Everton.
Joao Pedro is the top scorer across both squads this season, with his recent hat-trick against Aston Villa taking his tally to 18 goals. The Brazilian has netted five times in his last five appearances and currently sits third in the Golden Boot race.
Moises Caicedo, meanwhile, has received more yellow cards than any other player across the two teams this season, adding to his tally with another booking in last weekend’s defeat to Newcastle.
Chelsea make their first ever visit to the Hill Dickinson Stadium this weekend, arriving in poor form after a difficult run. Their Champions League campaign ended in heavy fashion, suffering an 8-2 aggregate defeat to holders PSG in the last 16, marking their third consecutive loss in all competitions.
A narrow 1-0 home defeat to Newcastle last weekend saw Liam Rosenior’s side slip out of the expected Champions League qualification spots, surrendering fifth place to Liverpool.
The Blues now sit just three points above seventh placed Brentford. While they have won two of their last three away matches, their most recent trip ended in a five-goal concession against PSG.
Despite that setback, Chelsea have been strong on the road this season. Only league leaders Arsenal have collected more away points, a record they will be aiming to build on with a result on Merseyside.

Everton, meanwhile, saw their two-game winning run halted by defeat to Arsenal last weekend. However, victories over Newcastle and Burnley prior to that have boosted their points tally, leaving them well placed in the table.
Results elsewhere ensured David Moyes’ side held onto eighth position, which could be enough for Conference League qualification, while they remain just two points behind Brentford in the final Europa League spot.
Although Everton made a promising start in their new stadium, recent home form has been inconsistent. They have managed just one win in their last eight at the Hill Dickinson, though that victory came in their most recent home outing against Burnley.
Chelsea have enjoyed the upper hand in this fixture of late, winning three of the last four meetings without conceding. Everton, by contrast, have won just once in their last seven encounters with the Blues.
However, Chelsea’s record away to Everton is less convincing, with just one win in their last eight visits, losing five and scoring only once across their last five trips.
