Dodgers news: Justin Wrobleski exits Pirates game after injury scare
Looking for a series win on the road, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ quest to extend their NL West division lead continued in Pittsburgh against the Pirates. The Dodgers sent breakout righty Justin Wrobleski to the mound. Through five innings, Wrobleski kept the Pirates at bay, allowing four earned runs. However, a comebacker from Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds led to Wrobleski leaving the game, per team beat reporter Kirsten Watson via X, formerly Twitter.
“Justin Wrobleski took a comebacker off this thigh, then proceeded to cover first base, to attempt to make the play,” reported Watson. “He went back to mound with trainers and Dave Roberts but has since exited the game.”
