DK Metcalf punches Lions fan as Steelers star faces ‘great consequences’ in NFL punishment
DK Metcalf has gotten away with it — for now.
The Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver was involved in an altercation with a Detroit Lions fan in the stands, during which he threw a punch.
No officials saw the incident, so Metcalf remained in the game, but CBS cameras captured the entire altercation, which will likely result in punishment.
“DK Metcalf, mixing it up with someone in the stands,” Jim Nantz said on the broadcast.
“Oh my gosh,” Tony Romo chimed in. “Oh my gosh.”
“And that’s going to have great consequences for the Steelers and Metcalf.”
It looks like the league office will address any consequences following the game, but for Metcalf, it is a terrible look.
Lions fans will be furious if the wideout plays a significant role in a game that has major playoff implications.
