DJ Moore’s spicy Caleb Williams take has fans debating possible beef

After three years with the Chicago Bears, DJ Moore will have a fresh start with the Buffalo Bills. In March, the Bears traded Moore, along with a fifth-round pick, to the Bills in exchange for a second-round pick, which was then sent to the Tennessee Titans.

Moore will be a new target for Josh Allen, and they could be a perfect fit for each other. Moore has played with several top-level quarterbacks in the past, including Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, and Cam Newton.

When asked to describe them, the 29-year-old wide receiver was quick to give them high praise. But it was not the same when Moore was asked to discuss Caleb Williams.

“He’s getting there,” said Moore on NFL Network.

When prodded further, he added: “He’s still growing. He’s an automatic superstar now. Madden (NFL 27) cover. He’s on the up.”

The interview only fueled speculation that Moore and Williams did not get along in Chicago.

“Man, DJ didn’t like Caleb at all, did he? SMH,” said @GuruKevlar.

“Why does it seem like he hates Caleb?” asked @PAX1745.

“DJ is mad he didn’t put up the numbers with Caleb that he thought he should have. I can’t blame him. He was a 1K (yards) a year guy pretty much his whole career,” claimed @JimGottberg.

“He’s mad. He got traded because of that last throw Caleb made. They never did have good chemistry. He also doesn’t think Caleb deserves to be on the (Madden NFL 27) cover. It’s pretty clear,” echoed @lentz_kris.

“He doesn’t like Caleb, bro,” commented @RickyRoZaY1995.

Moore’s numbers dropped significantly last season. He tallied career-lows of 50 receptions and 682 receiving yards and six touchdowns.

The Bears lost to the Los Angeles Rams in overtime in the divisional round of the playoffs, with Williams’ pass to Moore resulting in a crucial interception. Fans accused Moore of dogging it, although Williams did not blame his then-teammate.

The Bears will face the Bills in Week 15 of the upcoming season.
