Details for Dana White’s second boxing event laid out including date and full card

Zuffa Boxing already has its second event booked ahead of Friday night’s inaugural show.

A week after Callum Walsh (15-0) locks horns with Carlos Ocampo (38-3) at the Meta Apex, Dana White‘s promotional outfit returns to the same arena for a dust-up between former WBA super lightweight champion Jose Valenzuela (14-3) and Diego Torres (22-1) on Sunday, February 1.

Valenzuela is looking to return to winning ways after dropping his 140lbs world title to Gary Antuanne Russell via a lopsided unanimous decision in March.

His opponent, Torres, is currently riding a four-fight winning streak against unheralded opposition following the sole defeat of his career against Raymond Muratalla in 2023.

The fight will take place over ten rounds in the lightweight division and will sit atop a three-fight main card.

Who else is on the Zuffa Boxing 2 card?

According to esteemed boxing journalist Dan Rafael, the other two fights, which have yet to be officially confirmed, will be a middleweight clash between Serhii Bohachuk and Radzhab Butaev, and a light heavyweight bout between Radivoje ‘Hot Rod’ Kalajdzic and Oleksandr Gvozdyk.

Bohachuk (26-3) is coming off another defeat to his boxing kryptonite, Brandon Adams, on the Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford undercard in September.

Prior to the loss, the Ukrainian had seen his stock increase tenfold after a close majority decision loss to Vergil Ortiz Jr, where he dropped the Texan twice.

Butaev (16-1) is currently in the midst of a rebuild after having the WBA ‘regular’ welterweight title snatched away from him by Eimantas Stanionis in April 2022.

The Russian puncher has been largely inactive since then, with just two wins to his name over the last 21 months.

Gvozdyk (21-2) is arguably the most notable name on the bill.

The Ukrainian held the WBC light heavyweight title between 2018 and 2019, a reign that included an impressive knockout victory over Adonis Stevenson in Quebec.

Zuffa Boxing 2 full main card

Jose Valenzuela vs Diego Torres – ten rounds, lightweight

Serhii Bohachuk vs Radzhab Butaev – ten rounds, middleweight

Oleksandr Gvozdyk vs Radivoje ‘Hot Rod’ Kalajdzic – ten rounds, light heavyweight

His only defeats thus far as a professional have come to the best of the best, Artur Beterbiev and David Benavidez.

Gvozdyk last fought in April when he stopped the vastly overmatched Anthony Hollaway inside three rounds.

Kalajdzic (29-3) has been out of action since a unanimous decision loss to David Morrell in August 2024.

‘Hot Rod’ has also suffered defeats Beterbiev and Marcus Browne, and holds a notable win over Sullivan Barrera.

When is Zuffa Boxing’s third event?

Zuffa Boxing will look to cram a second event into the boxing calendar before February is done.

A clash between former IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin and Efe Ajagba is reportedly in play for February 14 at the Meta Apex.
