Darts star stunned as a fan throws iPhone on stage at Poland Masters
It’s no wonder Daryl Gurney was left surprised after his victory in the opening round of the Poland Darts Masters.
Superchin eased past qualifier Dawid Robak with a 6-1 scoreline but then saw his post-match interview interrupted by a mobile phone.

As the Northern Irishman took PDC Europe master of ceremonies Philip Brzezinski through his victory, the pair were stopped in their tracks.
An object landed on stage, allegedly thrown from the crowd, leading to a pause in proceedings.
“I think you have a phone call,” joked Gurney as the duo looked to continue.
“Someone has just thrown an iPhone at us,” added Brzezinski as he attempted to keep the interview on track and inform the crowd what had happened.
Gurney now faces Ross Smith in the second round.
The World No.23 has a fine record against Smith, winning their last three European Tour matches.
However, the Northern Irishman believes his rival could be set to mount a comeback this year.
“I think Ross, last year, with the tragedy of his mother, I feel like that affected his darts,” he said.
“I feel like this year he will get over that, and he showed it in the World Masters with how well he played against Jimmy van Schie.
“I feel like he will be a really big force to be reckoned with in the PDC. He deserves to be in the top 16.

“Hopefully I don’t give him too many compliments and he thinks, ‘Oh, this is going to be easy, Daryl is waxing this.’
“Hopefully I am a lot better tomorrow and more consistent. I am looking forward to the game.”
Elsewhere at the Poland Darts Open, Cameron Menzies revealed the injuries he sustained at the World Championship almost forced him to quit the sport.
Menzies was beaten by Charlie Manby at Ally Pally and reacted by punching his table before leaving the oche covered in blood.
He’s now revealed he was forced to have surgery and still needs more treatment as he couldn’t feel his fingers.
He admitted: “It was finally good to play well but I’ve been struggling massively.

“I’ll be honest with you, a few times I’ve felt like wrapping it. I’m just not in a good place that way.
“Obviously what happened at the Worlds, I’ve done a lot of damage to myself.
“Basically I’ve no feeling in my fingers anymore because of the damage I’ve done.
“I couldn’t feel my fingers for six weeks. I had to go through surgery. I’ve still to go through hand treatment and trauma.
“I’ve made a massive mistake in my life. You can see the scar. I have to live with that.
“I was lucky it was not as bad as what it could have been. I’m not proud of it. I’m lucky I can still play because it could have been severed. So I had to see a hand specialist. No words could explain how I felt at that time.”
