‘Classy guy’ – Jake Paul’s mum reveals what Anthony Joshua said in apology after he broke her son’s jaw in brutal KO
Anthony Joshua proved to be the perfect gentleman following his brutal knockout of Jake Paul.
The two-time world heavyweight champion produced a devastating finish in the sixth round to see off the YouTube-turned boxing star.

Joshua, who weighed in two stone heavier than his opponent, inflicted a broken jaw on his opponent with a brutal right-hand knockout punch.
Paul later posted photos from his hospital bed and claimed he would be confined to a liquid diet for the next week, while full recovery could take up to three months.
Painful viewing
Paul’s mother Pam was a guest on son Logan Paul’s podcast titled IMPAULSIVE and lifted the lid on her experience of last Friday’s showdown in Miami.
Asked by Logan what it was like for her watching Jake fight AJ, Pam said: “What it’s always like, nerve-wracking. It’s always nerve-wracking.”
However, what was to come left Logan in stitches as she quickly switched focus from the fight to her disdain for promoter Eddie Hearn.
She continued: “As a mum, my aggression comes out too. Like I want to get in that ring and punch… Eddie Hearn for instance.”
When asked why she wanted to punch the Matchroom Sport chairman, Pam replied: “Because I don’t like his smug face. He literally thinks he’s better than everyone in the world.
“Jake’s over there struggling and he’s sitting over there smiling like the cat who swallowed the cream.
“Guess what? Did he f****** get in the ring?”
Logan added: “No but he’s a legendary promoter,” to which his mum responded: “Oh, who cares.”

Pam was then asked if she believed Hearn was happy with the brutal outcome Paul faced at the hands of Joshua.
She said: “Oh of course, and that’s sickening to me.
“It’s sick and I don’t like it.”
A class act
However, Pam reserved high praise for Joshua and revealed a heart-warming exchange in the aftermath of the fight.
“Even Anthony Joshua had some class and apologised to me,” she revealed.
“He worked his way through the crowd and came up to me and said, ‘mum, just know it’s just boxing. It’s just the fight game.’”

Logan also found the time to heap praise on the Watford puncher claiming his attempts to put Joshua off his game fell on deaf ears.
“That’s what I said to him after the fight as well”, Logan added. “I said ‘Bro you know I love you but it’s the fight game and I’m going to talk as much f****** s*** as I can.’
“He’s a classy guy. It wasn’t super easy for me but it totally was. I thought maybe I could get in his head and it definitely didn’t work.”
