Chris Webber didn’t hold back in a vicious take on Spurs’ blown 29-point lead
After dropping Game 4 of the NBA Finals to the New York Knicks after building a 29-point lead early in the second half, the San Antonio Spurs have endured a boatload of criticism for the way the game got away from them. Instead of tying the series at 2-2 with a victory at Madison Square Garden, the Spurs dropped a 107-106 decision to the Knicks and trail 3-1 in the series.
Chris Webber crushed the Spurs after their historic Game 4 collapse against the Knicks:
"That was just probably the dumbest game, and I'd like to say most arrogant game, that's ever been played with the stakes this high.
It just shows how you really have to have on-the-court… pic.twitter.com/tBxuxwtRQq

Former NBA star Chris Webber has been the latest to chime in with his opinion of the Spurs performance. The Hall of Famer played 15 years in the NBA, including seven years for the Sacramento Kings, and he was a five-time All-NBA player.
Webber was critical of the Spurs for the way they attempted to play in the second half. Even though their three-point attempts stopped falling in the final 24 minutes, the Spurs kept on firing long-distance shots. This was particularly harmful in the fourth quarter as the Knicks completed their comeback.
“That was just probably the dumbest game, and I’d like to say most arrogant game, that’s ever been played with the stakes this high,” Webber said as a guest on the Rich Eisen Show. “It just shows how you really have to have on-the-court feel and not just analytics, because I don’t think analytics would tell you to shoot the ball eight times in a row if you miss, and taking shots early in the shot clock.”
The Knicks were able to secure the victory in Game 4 when OG Anunoby secured the rebound of a Jalen Brunson miss. He was able to tip the ball in for the winning points in the New York triumph.
