The Cheltenham Festival gets underway today, kicking off four days of thrilling racing in Gloucestershire, with a total of 28 contests scheduled throughout the week.

Tuesday’s action begins with one of the meeting’s most anticipated races, the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. That opener is immediately followed by the Arkle Challenge Trophy, before the day’s feature race, the Champion Hurdle, takes centre stage at 4pm.

Thursday is equally packed with top-level racing, featuring four more Grade 1 events. Proceedings begin with the Golden Miller Novices’ Chase and the Mares’ Hurdle, before attention turns to the prestigious Stayers’ Hurdle. The day’s racing wraps up with the Festival Trophy Handicap Chase.
