TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

talkSPORT x Barmy Army South African Tour Prize SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. By entering this prize draw or competition (the Promotion), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (the Specific Terms and Conditions). The General Terms and Conditions also apply to each Promotion and by entering the Promotion you agree to be bound by the General Terms and Conditions.  Completion and submission of an entry form or e-mail will also be deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Promotional materials relating to the Promotion, including all information on how to enter the Promotion on the Promoter’s talkSPORT (including social media if applicable) or on the Promoter’s websites, also form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between any terms referred to in such promotional materials or the General Conditions and these Specific Terms and Conditions, these Specific Terms and Conditions shall take precedence.
2. The promoter of this Promotion is talkSPORT Limited of 1 London Bridge Street, London, SE1 9GF with company number 02806093 and VAT number GB243805469 (the Promoter).

Eligibility

3. The Promotion is only open to residents of the United Kingdom who are aged 18 years or older. Additional eligibility requirements are set out in the General Terms and Conditions. 
4. The winner and guest must each hold a valid passport and meet all South Africa entry requirements (including visa).

Timing

5. The Promotion starts at 16.30PM (UK time) on 22 January 2026 and closes at 16.00PM (UK time) on 6 February 2026. (the Promotion Period). Any entries received outside the Promotion Period are automatically disqualified.

How to Enter

6. You can enter this Promotion in any of the following ways:

a. Paid Text Message/SMS Entries:

You can submit up to 16 (sixteen) paid entries by sending Text messages/SMS. In addition, you may receive extra free entries (called ‘Additional Entry At No Extra Cost’), as explained in clause 8, if you qualify for them);

b. Boost Offer:

You can use the Boost Offer once. This allows you to pay for 5 extra entries in one go, as described in clause 8;

c. Online Carrier Billing Entries:

You can spend up to a maximum of £40 (forty pounds) on entries made through Online Carrier Billing (this includes any entry bundles you might purchase);

d. Free Phone Entries:

You can make up to 64 (sixty four) entries by calling the free phone number provided;

8. If you enter the Promotion during the Promotion Period by Text Message/SMS, you will be invited to take part in the following offers:

• Additional Entry At No Extra Cost

1. If you enter the Promotion a second time by sending a text at the premium text rate of £2.50 (two pounds fifty) (plus the standard network rate) using the same mobile number during the Promotion Period, you will receive an additional entry at no extra cost. A third text message is not required to claim this free additional entry. The free additional entry will automatically be included after the participant enters the Promotion a second time (i.e. by sending the second text message). 
2. If you send a third SMS message during the Promotion Period, the cycle restarts and you will be charged again at the premium rate of £2.50 (two pounds fifty) (plus the standard network rate) using the same mobile number during the Promotion Period.
3. If you enter the Promotion by sending a fourth text message at the premium rate of £2.50 (two pounds fifty) plus the standard network rate, you will receive another additional entry at no extra cost. 
4. It is your responsibility to ensure that if you choose to accept the offer, the subsequent SMS message is sent within the Promotion Period; otherwise, the additional entry and free entry may be charged but not included in the draw.

• Boost Offer

a boost of 5 additional entries from the same mobile number at the premium rate of £5 (five pounds) plus your standard network rate by texting BONUS, FIVE OR BOOST to 83338 during the Promotion Period. Participants are limited to 1 Boost Offer only during the Promotion. 

Winners and Prizes 

9. There will be only One winner of the Promotion (the Winner, who will receive the Prize(s) (as defined below).  The Winner(s) will be selected at random from all valid entries for this Promotion received during the Promotion Period by a computer process that produces verifiably random results. 
10. The Prize is a tour for two (2) adults aged 18 or over to South Africa to attend the New Years Test Match between England and South Africa at Newlands, Cape Town, scheduled to take place from either 3rd or 4th January 2027. Return flights will depart from London; exact flight dates will depend on the confirmed dates of the Test Matches and may vary depending on availability (prize is a total of 7 days). The prize includes the following;

(a) Two (2) places on the Barmy Army South Africa New Year’s Test Hotel and Ticket Package, which includes match tickets to the New Year’s Test at Newlands for days 1-5 of England vs South Africa and hotel accommodation;

(b) Return economy flights from London to Cape Town for the Winner and their guest (dates for these are to be confirmed, but will be early January) provided by the promoter/prize provider. Exact flight date/time will be selected at the prize provider’s discretion. Prize excludes all airport transfers.

(c) Accommodation for the duration of the tour for a total of 6 nights in Newlands, provided within the official Barmy Army tour package. Accommodation includes breakfast. Winner and guest will be sharing a twin room/double room.

(d) The Participants will be booked onto a Barmy Army Hotel and Ticket South Africa Package. Additional events, merchandise and activities can be booked through Barmy Army as add-ons.

(e) £2,500 (Two and a half thousand pounds sterling) in cash provided by the promoter/prize provider. Once the Winner provides their valid bank details, payment will be made within ten (10) working days.

11. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for an alternative prize of equivalent or greater value, or at its sole discretion, the cash value of the Prize.  
12. The Winner is responsible for paying all costs and expenses that are not included within the Prize, but are incidental to the Winner redeeming the Prize including (for example) transport, accommodation, meal costs, spending money, insurance and any other incidentals. The Winner is also personally responsible for any personal expenses and any VAT, national and/or local tax liabilities (if any) incurred in claiming or using the Prize. If the winner or companion is a minor, the minor must be accompanied by his or her parent or legal guardian (at their own expense). Economy flights will include luggage, luggage weight is dependent on airline and availability at time of booking.
13. Exact travel dates, accommodation details, and itinerary are subject to confirmation by the tour provider and may be subject to change. The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative is available.
14. The Winner must be available to attend the prize on the dates stipulated in clause 10, to be an eligible Winner. If they are not available to attend the Prize on those dates, then they will be deemed invalid and a new winner will be drawn. Exact travel dates, accommodation details, and itinerary are subject to confirmation by the tour provider and prize provider and may be subject to change. The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative is available.
15. Competition also comes under normal Barmy Army Terms and Conditions here and also their Travel Terms and Conditions. 

Winner Notification and Claiming Prize 

16. The Promoter will notify a Participant (selected at random from all valid entries for this Promotion received during the Promotion Period by a computer process that produces verifiably random results) by phone at approximately 17.00PM on 6 February 2026. The selected Participant will be given 30 seconds to answer this call. During this call, the selected Participant will be informed that a talkSPORT presenter will call them once, live, during that day’s talkSPORT Drive show (or during another talkSPORT show, at the Promoter’s discretion). The selected Participant must personally answer both calls and must confirm their eligibility to accept the Prize, to be confirmed as the Winner of the Prize. Winner may be required to submit valid identification before receiving their Prize.  The winner will be asked if they have an iPhone and if Facetime is available. If available, the call during the show will be via Facetime and broadcast live.  
17. If, at either the time of the initial notification call or the live on-air call:

(i) the selected Participant fails to answer the phone within thirty (30) seconds;

(ii) another person answers the call;

(iii) the call is directed to voicemail or a call screening service;

(iv) the call becomes disconnected and it is not possible to re-establish contact;

(v) the selected participant is not, or does not appear to be, in a position to safely and/or lawfully take or remain on the call (for example, if they are or appear to be driving); or

(vi) the call quality is unsuitable for broadcast, or the selected Participant cannot be heard clearly (for example, due to low or no signal, dropped connection, background noise, or feedback);

(vii) the selected participant refuses to participate or confirm acceptance of the Prize;

the selected Participant will forfeit their chance to win.

18. In the event the selected Participant forfeits their chance to win as set out above, the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw and select another Participant at random from all valid entries received during the Promotion Period. The same notification and confirmation process will then apply to any re-drawn Participant(s).
19. The Promoter may require the selected Participant to confirm their telephone number when called. The Promoter will not call back on an alternative number. If the selected Participant is unable to confirm their number, or if the Promoter has reason to believe that the entrant has breached these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify the selected Participant and select another Participant in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
20. With the selected Participant’s consent, the call with the talkSPORT presenter may be switched to a video call; however, this is not obligatory. The call may be broadcast live on talkSPORT, or pre-recorded for later broadcast at the Promoter’s discretion.
21. If a winner cannot be confirmed live on-air during the talkSPORT Drive radio show, the Promoter may continue the selection process off-air, contacting participants in random order until a winner is confirmed.
22. The Prize will be delivered, or details with instructions on how to book or obtain the Prize will be communicated, to the Winner within a reasonable time and by no later than five (5) days after the Prize has been accepted.  

General 

23. The Promoter’s decision as to the Winner of the Prize is final and binding on the participants. The Promoter will not enter into correspondence with participants in relation to this decision.
24. Unless otherwise stated in the promotional materials, this Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, the manufacturer or service provider of the relevant Prize. Participants are providing their information to the Promoter and not to the manufacturer or service provider of the relevant Prize (although, if a participant wins, their details may be disclosed to the Prize provider in order to provide them with the Prize).
25. Any participant who enters or attempts to enter the Promotion in a manner, which in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion is contrary to these Specific Terms and Conditions or by its nature is unjust to other participants (including tampering with the operation of the Promotion, cheating, hacking, deception or any other unfair playing practices such as intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other participants or the Promoter and/or any of its agents or representatives) may be rejected from the Promotion at the Promoter’s sole discretion. 
26. The Promoter reserves the right to extend, withdraw, alter or suspend the Promotion or these Specific Terms and Conditions at any time if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.
27. The Promotion and these Specific Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by English law. You can bring legal proceedings in respect of the Promotion and these Specific Terms and Conditions in the English courts. If you live in Scotland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the Promotion and these Specific Terms and Conditions in either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the Promotion and these Specific Terms and Conditions in either the Northern Irish or the English courts. Nothing affects the mandatory provisions of your local law..
