Champions League betting tips: Selections for Tuesday’s Quarter-final action
The first two Champions League quarter-finals conclude on Tuesday evening and European heavyweights Liverpool and Barcelona both face uphill battles in their bid to seal a spot in the final four.
Liverpool were no match for Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes as goals from Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia put the reigning champions in command, but the Reds are a different beast at Anfield and will still believe that they can stage a fightback.
Barcelona, hindered by a first-half red card for Pau Cubarsi, also head to Atletico Madrid trailing 2-0 after Julian Alvarez and Alexander Sorloth inspired Rojiblancos to a first victory at Camp Nou since 2006.
Liverpool have been way below-par this season and may struggle to live with the star-studded Parisians, but the Catalan giants are closing in on the La Liga title and will know that all hope is not yet lost given the quality that they possess.

Tuesday’s Champions League betting tips
Slick Parisians can complete the job in style
Liverpool are on the ropes after last Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat in Paris and, while they are notoriously stronger at Anfield, the gulf in class between the sides looks too big to bridge.
Arne Slot’s side should be happy to be trailing by only two goals as they lost the shot count 18-3 in the French capital and failed to register a single shot on target.
Liverpool were 2-0 winners at home to Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday but that was only their third victory in their last nine matches and they have looked leggy for a while.
In the previous round, PSG 5-2 won at home to Chelsea but didn’t take their foot off the gas as they recorded an equally emphatic 3-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.
Luis Enrique’s side won 1-0 at Anfield last season in the round of 16 before progressing on penalties and, having triumphed in eight of their last nine away games, they can repeat the feat.
Determined Barca ready to embrace fightback
Barcelona have a mountain to climb after last week’s 2-0 loss at home to Atletico but they are nine points clear at the top of La Liga and will still believe.
Barca are 22 points above Atletico in the Spanish top flight and did win 2-1 in the league at the Metropolitano Stadium in April, which shows that they have what it takes to triumph at this venue.
Hansi Flick’s men have also beaten Atletico 3-1 and 3-0 at home this season and, while a two-goal deficit requires maximum focus, they have the attacking talent to complete the fightback.
Atletico have lost four of their last five matches and despite having a man advantage for the entire second half of last week’s victory, they still lost the shot count 18-6.
Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Marcus Rashford and Fermin Lopez provide real star quality and Barca, having scored 30 goals in 11 Champions League outings, are difficult to stop when they get going.
