Carlos Alcaraz outlasts Alex Zverev in incredible Australian Open semifinal
The Australian Open Final will be a matchup of old against new, with Carlos Alcaraz facing Novak Djokovic. Alcaraz outlasted Alex Zverev in a five-set, five-hour classic late Thursday night to make it to the Final. If he beats Djokovic on Sunday morning, he will complete the career Grand Slam.

Alcaraz took multiple medical timeouts due to cramping, which extended the match significantly. He told ESPN, “I think physically we just pushed each other to the limit today. We pushed our bodies to the limit. Just really, really happy to get the win, that I came back. I just rank this one in the top position of one of the best matches that I have ever won.”
