Carl Froch accuses John Fury of making ‘blockade’ demand to avoid lucrative fight offer
Carl Froch insists there is real interest in staging a fight with John Fury but he doesn’t believe he truly wants the clash.
Fury Sr and Froch have been at odds for several years, but their feud culminated into a fiery confrontation.

The father of heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury shouted at ‘The Cobra’ in a furious outburst at his son’s press conference as things threatened to get heated.
Fight call-outs then came from both sides, with Fury Sr then suggesting he was beginning a training camp to prepare for Froch.
Astonishingly, despite the leader of the Fury dynasty being 60-years-old, there is genuine interest in an event being created.
And former world champion Froch has claimed there is broadcasters who have even tabled lucrative offers.
But he has claimed that Fury Sr is trying to get his other son Tommy Fury on any bill, which is holding up negotiations from progressing.
He said on his YouTube channel: “It’s gone to the stage where the broadcasters are quite interested, and he’s making demands now, unreasonable demands about trying to get Tommy Fury on to fight before him and me.
“He’s basically put a blockade in there with his son, Tommy, which is ridiculous.
“It’s big John Fury running his mouth, big gobshite, making a load of noise, making a nuisance of himself. Then he gets offered the opportunity.
“John Fury has no intentions of fighting anybody, including Joe Egan and myself.

“And he’s had the option put in front of him. It’s going to be X amount of pounds. And it’s seven figures as well.
“And he just said, ‘Oh no, I want to get Tommy on,’ and made an excuse and talked b******s, talked his way out of it.”
So a showdown for now looks highly unlikely, unless a breakthrough can be made in the bizarre negotiations.
John Fury’s thoughts on a fight with Froch
From his end of the negotiating table, Fury Sr has claimed he is more than ready for the clash.
He has even suggested he’d be willing to stake the majority of a fight purse for a series of charities.
Fury Sr said: “Contact me and let’s hope you’ve got deep pockets. I’ll wait to hear from you.
“If anybody is interested in what I’m saying, contact my lawyer and we can get the bout on.
“All the proceeds of this, I will give three quarters of this to well known charities.
“I’ll donate most of it to charity and it will be in the contract.”
