Burnley are winless in their last seven Premier League games against the Hammers, but have drawn three of those.

Prior to those seven the Clarets had won four of five and will be desperate to get back to that winning form against the London side.

Both sides sit deep into the relegation zone, making this as crucial as it gets in their bid for safety, even if it is a little way off still.

Can either side escape the drop?

Burnley lost twice and drawn three in their last five games while West Ham have managed to distance themselves from the Clarets, with two wins and three losses in their last five.

The Hammers are now just six points behind Nottingham Forest having previously been some distance behind escaping the relegation zone.

Burnley could go within eight points of safety with a win against West Ham and then also go just two points behind the Hammers, making this probably the most crucial game this season in the relegation battle so far.

West Ham have won 53% of their Premier League games against Burnley (10/19).

Of the sides they’ve faced 10+ times in the competition, only Watford (56%) and Fulham (57%) do they have a higher win-rate, which really bodes well for them this weekend in such an important match.

West Ham have already lost at Sunderland and Leeds this season -they’ve not lost against all three promoted clubs in a single campaign since 2009-10, which also included a 2-1 defeat away to Burnley.

Burnley are winless in their last 15 Premier League games though (D5 L10). Only once have they ever had a longer run within the same top-flight campaign, going 17 without a win at the start of 1889-90.

And with that, I think it could be all West Ham this weekend after their wins against Tottenham and Sunderland.

They’re scoring much more too which has helped them secure three victories in their last four in all comps, while nearly dispatching of Chelsea in the process, scoring two against them.

Callum Wilson and Jarrod Bowen have scored four between them in their last three games and could be amongst them again against Burnley.
