British Grand Prix betting tips: Predictions and expert advice for F1 weekend
After George Russell wrestled the momentum from team-mate Kimi Antonelli with a triumphant victory in the Austrian Grand Prix, all 11 Formula 1 teams touch down at one of the most iconic circuits on the calendar for the British Grand Prix this weekend.
With overtaking spots galore and a flurry of breathtaking high-speed corners, Silverstone offers drama in abundance, and the 2026 edition is set to be even more exciting as the fourth of six scheduled Sprint events this season.

George Russell to win @ 5/2
Lewis Hamilton to finish on the podium @ SP
Nico Hulkenberg to finish in the points @ SP
Russell to find success in home Grand Prix
The curves of Silverstone have not been particularly kind to George Russell in the past, but this is the first time he has entered the British Grand Prix with the definitive fastest car on the grid and he could utilise the home crowd to claim a second successive race win.
He put in an excellent showing to claim his first win since the season opener in Austria last weekend and will be full of confidence as he looks to reduce his deficit in the World Drivers’ Championship.
The 28-year-old comes into the British Grand Prix 40 points adrift of Antonelli, but the Italian has lost some momentum in the last couple of races, suffering an engine failure in Barcelona before finishing third in Austria last weekend.
This could be Russell’s opportunity to take the title battle into his own hands and claim a monumental victory.
Silverstone specialists to light up the track
Russell may have struggled at Silverstone in the past, but two drivers who have found plenty of success here are Lewis Hamilton and Nico Hulkenberg, and both look set for promising weekends this time around.
Hamilton has won the British Grand Prix a record nine times and has finished on the podium in 14 of his 19 entries, and he has regularly extracted the absolute maximum from his car at one of his favourite tracks.
Ferrari may be at a disadvantage at Silverstone, given its power-favoured nature, but the Prancing Horse did bring engine upgrades to Austria, which may put them back within touching distance of challenging for the win in Britain.
Hamilton has three podium finishes in his last four races and another one looks a likely outcome on Sunday.
Hulkenberg was one of the occupants of last season’s British Grand Prix podium, claiming a top-three finish for the first time in his long career.
That may not be on the cards this time around, but a first points finish of the season is a possibility.
The Audi driver has finished in the top ten in nine of his last 10 British Grands Prix and has been on the brink of points in multiple race this season, so he can kickstart his campaign at Silverstone.
