Braves’ Ronald Acuna Jr. lands on IL due to hamstring injury

Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuna Jr. was forced to exit Tuesday’s 6-5 loss to the Chicago White Sox early after experiencing tightness in his left hamstring. It turns out it’s an injury that Acuna is going to need some time to recover from, as he was placed on the IL on Wednesday.

The Braves announced that the 28-year-old outfielder is going on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring strain. Atlanta also announced several roster moves to accommodate Acuna being out.

“Atlanta today also placed OF Ronald Acuña Jr. on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring and selected INF Rowdy Tellez to the major league roster,” said the Braves. “To make room on the 40-man roster, the club designated RHP Jhancarlos Lara for assignment.”

This story is currently developing, and more information will be published soon.
