Brandon Clarke’s fiancée posts touching tribute to Grizzlies star after death

In the wake of Memphis Grizzlies star Brandon Clarke’s death, his fiancée, Amber Lorraine, posted. a heartfelt tribute to him on Instagram.

The emotional Instagram post was made on Sunday, May 17, 2026, on Lorraine’s now-private account (via TMZ). Clarke’s fiancée is still reeling from his passing.

“There are no words to describe this feeling,” Lorraine wrote about the Grizzlies star. “I never thought I’d have to live life without you.”

Lorraine went on to call Clarke “the most special person, with the biggest heart.” She recalled the day he proposed as “the happiest day of my life.”

“The day you proposed was the happiest day of my life, knowing I was gonna spend the rest of my life with my soulmate,” Lorraine emotionally wrote.

They were due to get married “soon,” and that would lead to them starting a family. Lorraine misses his “silly jokes” to Harry Potter movie marathons.

Ultimately, Lorraine conceded that “the world isn’t the same without” Clarke. He passed too soon, as she just wants to embrace him.

Clarke died on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in surprising news. He had just finished his seventh season in the NBA, and he averaged 10.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game during his career.

His death happened shortly after he was arrested in Arkansas after his alleged involvement in a high-speed police chase. Clarke was charged with possession and trafficking of a controlled substance and fleeing in a vehicle.

He started his NBA career in 2019. He was drafted with the 21st overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Gonzaga by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Before he could play a minute for the Thunder, he was traded to the Grizzlies. During his first year in the league, he averaged a career-best 12.1 points per game. He also averaged 5.9 rebounds per game. Clarke played in 58 games, starting four of them, and was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team for his efforts.
