Bill Belichick, Jordon Hudson flip ‘WAG’ roles as UNC coach goes all out for her cheer competition

Many have become accustomed to seeing Jurdon Hudson supporting Bill Belichick as he coaches UNC’s football team, but not many could’ve imagined him supporting her at a cheer competition.

Hudson posted a selfie of them together at a recent cheer competition. Belichick is completely decked out in gear that supports Hudson’s team.

“Roses [up button emoji] for Bill the WAG [ring emoji, three roses emojis, and OK hand emoji],” Hudson wrote in the caption of her Instagram post.

It’s natural for couples to support each other. However, it was still unexpected to see Belichick wearing anything other than his team’s gear.

Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson’s relationship

Belichick, 74, and Hudson, 25, have had a controversial relationship. For over a decade, Belichick was in a relationship with Linda Holliday. Their relationship ended in 2023.

The following June, Belichick and Hudson’s relationship was first reported. They reportedly met on a flight in 2021, and they have been dating since 2023.

Hudson is a former Bridgewater State University cheerleader and was the Miss Maine USA pageant runner-up in 2024. The age gap of nearly 50 years has garnered attention.

It has also caused a stir as Belichick began his coaching stint at North Carolina. He became the program’s head coach before 2025, and the Tar Heels went 4-8 under Belichick in his first season.

His gig at UNC came after his 24-year tenure with the New England Patriots. Belichick coached the Patriots from 2000 to 2023, winning six Super Bowls in that time and appearing in nine total.

After Tom Brady left in 2020, things went downhill for Belichick and the Patriots. While the Patriots made the playoffs after winning 10 games in 2021, they won a combined 19 games in the other three seasons without Brady. In his final season with the Patriots, New England had the worst record under Belichick, winning just four games.
