WWE star Bayley joked that she has a ‘super premium’ free subscription to Mercedes Moné’s controversial texting service.

‘The Role Model’ told talkSPORT that she has a private line to the CEO, who is currently charging fans $99.99 to receive texts from her.

The pair, who once made up half of WWE’s Four Horsewomen, have remained close friends outside of the ring since their tenure in NXT.

Bayley and Moné, fka Sasha Banks, became the company’s inaugural Women’s Tag Team champions while both holding individual titles.

However, the latter left WWE in 2022 and has since reinvented herself at NJPW/Stardom and now AEW, while also starring on Disney+.

The Mandalorian star Moné – real name Mercedes Varnado – has since faced backlash for unveiling her $99.99 a month texting service.

The venture was even referenced by Becky Lynch when she said Bayley is ‘paying $100 a month to her best friend to text her.’

But Moné’s former tag-team partner rejected those allegations during an interview with talkSPORT at WWE 2K26 Creator Fest.

“I text her for free,” Bayley said. “Her and I text for free on a private line that like nobody gets. You know, nobody has that.

“Super premium. We’ve had it since, you know, we’re the first ever women’s tag team champions. We’re the first-ever women to main event on WWE [pay-per-view].

“First-ever women have an Iron Man match, made history in Brooklyn, and all those fine things. That’s what that line is specific for.”

Bayley and Moné’s feud at TakeOver: Brooklyn and TakeOver: Respect are widely regarded as among the greatest women’s matches ever.

Yet the woman formerly known as ‘The Boss’ in WWE looks increasingly likely not to return to the place where she made her name.

Sasha Banks’ return to WWE

Bayley has admitted she hasn’t lost hope in her friend emulating CM Punk and AJ Lee in making shockingly improbable WWE comebacks.

“I would hope so,” she added to talkSPORT on facing Moné in the ring again. “I don’t know deep down. I used to feel deep down that – Yes.

“But now I don’t know. I just all I can do is hold on to hope, which is what I’m best at. And as long as she’s happy, I’m happy.”
